When You Pray

Mark 11:24  "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."

When ye pray, not if you pray, but when.  Jesus is telling us here that we are to pray.  Have you ever noticed a really young child and the confidence that the child has in the parents.  As a preschooler, I recall thinking that my parents knew everything.  When I asked, I knew that they would give to me what I needed.

God is that way with us.  He gives to us what we need.  I also recall as a young child praying a silly little prayer that the lawn around my house would be covered with the candy sprinkles instead of grass and for a merry-go-round in my yard. I also prayed, after seening a rattlesnake that I would not see any snakes.  God did not answer the first prayer, but he did answer the second.  I was an adult before I ever saw another serpent.  Then I prayed the same prayer again and they stayed away.

God knows what we need and will provide for those needs when we ask.

PRAYER - "Lord, I bring before you my needs today.  I pray that you will meet all of my needs in the Name of Jesus, I pray.  Amen."
